Symptoms
- The disease is often symptom-poor
- Pain associated with urination and milky-purulent discharge.
- Unusual discharge from the vagina or penis, or pain or burning when you pee
- Most men with gonorrhea get symptoms, but only about 20% of women do
Treatment
- Gonorrhea is easily treated with antibiotics
- More and more gonococcal strains resistant to certain antibiotics are being found
Contagion
- Tripper is caused by the bacterium “Neisseria gonorrhea”
- Extremely contagious

Consequences
- In women it can lead to infertility.
- In men, untreated gonorrhea can lead to infection of the prostate, epididymis and seminal vesicles. It can also come to infertility.
